The new workshop covers a total area of 2,200 square meters, including 858 square meters of dedicated workshop space. In addition, the new facilities will soon feature dedicated training rooms for the various business units - with the aim of further promoting technical expertise and highly qualified service within VULKAN.
At the new location in Los Barrios, VULKAN Española now offers the following capabilities and features:
- Overhaul and reconditioning of Schottel azimuth propulsion units.
- Maintenance, inspection, and repair of VULKAN components including composite shafts, PROPFLEX couplings, brakes, Single Rings, stoppers, and others.
- Maintenance of refrigeration systems and industrial charging stations.
- Repair, maintenance, and conversion of industrial brakes.
- Comprehensive cooling and industrial charging services.
The workshop is equipped with a 25-ton double-trolley overhead crane, an additional 6-ton crane, and various auxiliary lifting systems, ensuring the efficient and safe handling of large components, as well as precision machining and repair work.
Strengthening Technical Capabilities
The in-house service team, currently consisting of ten specialized technicians, will also be able to grow with this expansion. This will further strengthen the technical capabilities and underline VULKAN Española’s commitment to comprehensive and responsive service. With this new facility, the company is expanding its range of solutions - from couplings and elastic suspension systems etc.to new solutions in line with the industry’s transition toward electrification, sustainability, and energy efficiency in modern vessels and industrial installations.
