Fully Electric Sightseeing Vessel

The VULKAN Hybrid and Electric Solutions team provided the electrical design and performance profiles for the first fully electric sightseeing vessel in Great Britain.
Due to its innovative design, the vessel is part of the British Clean Maritime Demonstration Competition (CMDC4), funded by the UK Department for Transport (DfT) and implemented by Innovate UK. CMDC4 is part of the UK Shipping Office for Reducing Emissions (UK SHORE) program of the department, an initiative worth £206 million aimed at developing technology to decarbonize the UK inland waterway sector.
