The VULKAN Group attaches great importance to the protection of your privacy. We process personal data collected during visits to our site in accordance with the laws on data protection and data security of the Federal Republic of Germany, in particular the Telemedia Act (TMG) and the Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG).

1. Information regarding the nature of data collection and data processing

During use of our website, the following data are collected:

a) Collection and processing of anonymous usage data

To optimize our website and for statistical purposes, anonymous usage data is collected and stored.

When you visit our website, our web servers store by default for a period of 7 days the IP address and the domain from which access is obtained, the date and time of the visit, the website that you visit with us and technical information regarding the visit (http method, http version, http status code, length of transmitted data, browser used). On using our web applications (e.g. product selector), further information required to use this application effectively (language, session ID, configurator step, selected data within the configurator) may also be stored.

b) Collection and processing of personal data

Personal data is detailed information about the personal or material circumstances of a particular or ascertainable individual (§ 3 of the Federal Data Protection Act, BDSG).

With the exception of the IP address, which is collected by default, we only collect personal data if you provide it voluntarily, e.g. in the context of registration, a questionnaire, a competition or for execution of an order, and only for the duration required for this purpose.

 

2. Information regarding the purpose of data collection and the forwarding of personal data

We only collect usage data for statistical purposes and to optimise our website.

We only use the personal data you provide voluntarily for the purpose for which you have given it to us. Only if you have given us your consent to also use it in the context of other offers or for marketing purposes will we use your data for these purposes.

As a rule, your personal data will not be passed on to third parties. Personal data will only be passed on to governmental institutions and authorities within the framework of mandatory national legal provisions.

Should you send us a query that would require cross-border forwarding of your personal data, this data will not be passed on by us for data protection reasons. In this case, we will inform you and send you information that will allow direct contact.

In accordance with the legal provisions, we will on request notify you in writing whether​ and which personal data pertaining to you are stored by us, their origin and for what purpose. If you are a registered user, you will also be able to view, and if necessary amend or delete, these data in the protected area.

In the event that personal data has been disclosed to third parties, you also have a right to information about the identity of the recipient.

 

b) Rectification, deletion and blocking of data (§ 35 of the Federal Data Protection Act, BDSG)

Furthermore, you have the right to have incorrect personal data corrected and incomplete data supplemented.

In the absence of authorisation to process the data, or if the legal basis for processing the data is lacking or has ceased to exist, you have the right to have your data deleted or blocked, subject to statutory retention requirements.

 

c) Withdrawal

If you have given us permission to consult your personal data for use in the context of other offers or for marketing purposes, you may withdraw your consent at any time with effect from that day forwards.
